MR. MAJOR P

In 1994, Mr. Major P. walked away from the annual Canadian Reggae Music Awards show with the most prestigious award, "Top Entertainer of The Year Award".  He was again crowned in 1997-1998-1999 and 2000, but as Top Dance Hall D.J.  Mr. Major P has been nominated 10 in a row  in four different categories, making him on of the hardest working entertainers this the ever difficult music business.  

Mr. Major P has performed with the best of the Reggae, Calypso, Rap and R&B world including: Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, Tony Rebel, Born Jamerican, Morgan Heritage, Denroy Morgan, Bujan Banton, Sanchez, John Holt and Dawn Penn.  The list of talent continues with Dobby Dobson, Hopeton Lewis, Pat Kelly, Glen Washington, Black Uhuru, Mutabaruka, Maxi Million and Charles Cameron { star of Love Jones}. Some Calypsonians include the Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Super Blue, Marshall Mantano and Chinese Laundry.   Mr. Major P has also had the fortune to work with some bands of the highest caliber with names like Caution Band, Dub Dis, Indica Band with Devon Brown and Kelly Rankin.  The Sane Band of Jamaica has backed him as well.  

This member of the World Reggae Music Association based in Chicago, is a multi-faceted entertainer and a master of exciting a crowd to a near state of frenzy.  Whether he is belting out love songs or masquerading a the lovable and hilarious "Granny P", you're definitely in for an entertaining session.  The female fans love to hear Mr. Major P comment on the injustice of loving and not being understood.  Male fans love to hear Mr. Major P deal with the lack of respect some women show for their mates.  His songs cover some of the more controversial issues without preaching.  After indulging in one of his shows you'll understand why he has won numerous awards and accolades.  This is just the beginning of the legacy of Mr. Major P, there lots more to come!!!!!!!!!
